This emergency rescue helicopter almost became the emergency itself. The BK 117 was about to land to pick up a victim in Phoenix (USA) when it suddenly lost power on one of its two engines. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

This accident could have been much worse. I applaud the men and women that risk their lives everyday on these choppers to save lives. This was a freak accident. I have been a victim and had to fly on one. God bless these people.
