The Boeing 767 arrived at Harare, Zimbabwe, on a passenger flight from Johannesburg, South Africa during a thunderstorm with heavy rain and high winds. During landing, the aircraft's right engine contacted the runway, shearing the engine away and causing the plane to run off the runway. Several passengers were injured during the subsequent evacuation, but none of the 94 people onboard were killed.
