The Fokker 27 plane was returning from a regular training flight. It was supposed to land in Bandung, 110km southeast of Jakarta. The crash occurred as the
pilot was trying to land in a heavy storm. There was a 20-knot crosswind at the time of the accident. The plane appeared to be shaking before diving to the
ground and crashed on a hangar. The plane blew apart inside the hangar, which had several airplanes and helicopters inside.
