Varandey, Russia
Updated on
The aircraft was on a scheduled passenger flight from Perm to Varandey when it rolled abruptly to the right, and crashed just short of Varandey Airport. Of the 52 passengers and crew members aboard the flight, 29 were killed.
The objective control data decoding showed that, during the flight, no failure or breakdown were registered. The cause of the accident should be linked to an unsatisfactory cooperation between crew members and errors committed during the flight coupled with landing approach under unfavorable conditions.
