Tara Air DHC-6 Twin Otter 400 plane crash

The DHC-6-400 Twin Otter operated by Tara Air took off from Pokhara, Nepal, for a passenger flight to Jomsom, Nepal. 20 passengers and 3 crewmembers were onboard. The plane was enroute about 10 minutes into the flight when radio contact with the aircraft was lost. The wreckage was later found crashed and burned in a mountainous area. All the 23 occupants were killed.
The crash site is located 225km west of Kathmandu, near Tirkhe Dungha, Dana VDC of Myagdi district.
The weather along the route was generally good, with some clouds of dust.
Tara Air is currently on the blacklist of airlines banned from flying in the European Union.
