The aircraft, on a military charter flight from Kabul, Afghanistan to Zaragoza, Spain, crashed while on its third landing attempt for a refueling stop at the Black Sea port city of Trabzon. All the 75 people onboard were killed.
An international commission that investigated the crash ruled that the company and its staff were guilty of the accident. A tired and untrained crew, violations of international passenger transportation rules and poor technical condition of the plane caused the accident.
