Too late decision to abort takeoff results in high speed runway excursion of the TU134

What happens in this video ?

July 10th, 2006 - This TU-134 was taking off from Gvardeyskoye (Ukraine) Air Base when nr.1 engine failed and caught fire, possibly as a result of a bird strike. Takeoff was aborted but the Tupolev overran the runway and burst into flames. All the 20 occupants survived, but 3 were injured.

HI.Im planecraft fan and I think that pilots is get big mistake to pull brakes.They can take off and go around to land again.In tallinn we have crashes too.In my eyes plane AN-26 EXIN air go down in runway because them landing gear broke!!

It does seem difficult to believe that no one was killed in this. I would certainly ask why the pilot needed to abort the take off after rotation (presumably V1 had been well exceeded). Its a strange one.
